Corby Community Safety Partnership

JAG4ALL

We held three JAG4ALL events (Joint Action Group) so far on the Corby Town Centre to engage with the community and to provide feedback on the ongoing work that the partnership has been doing to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. We have consulted to over 1500 residents of Corby and that they were asked to help us identify what the issues and concerns are in their neighbourhood. The residents told us what their problems were and how we can help to address the problems they might have been experiencing.

The success of these JAG4ALL events has now resulted us taking the JAG4ALL events to other Neighbourhood areas and thus resulting an event in different venues such as ASDA (North Corby), Morrisons (South Corby), Rural Corby (venue not confirmed). Every 3 months community priorities are identified through ongoing interactions that the community are having with police officers, police community support officers and neighbourhood wardens, community safety officers and through events such as our JAG4ALL. We have been committed to tackling the problems that you identified, over the past 3 months and have done our best, working in partnership with agencies such as the police, the fire service and health to implement the solutions you offered.

Street A Week (SAW)

Getting to know your local Wardens and Community Safety Officers is being made easier in Corby as the Corby Community Safety Partnership visits individual households through a new initiative called ‘Street a Week’.

Corby Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens and local Police Community Safety Officers have been knocking door to door every Tuesday to introduce themselves to the local community, gather information regarding public concerns and feedback on local achievements. The Partnership kicked off the initiative in Corby’s Exeter estate at the beginning of the month and already has carried out over 60 interactions. With the success of the scheme the Partnership is looking to expand across further estates in the next coming month.
