ASB Minimum Standards

The Partnership aims to continue to work together and commit to the following minimum standards

1. Reducing perceptions of AntiSocial Behaviour year on year

- We will continue to work with the local media providing pre and post press releases for all our activities

- We will continue to communicate partnership activities to all elected members on a monthly basis

- We will continue to get positive messages out to our communities through our community engagement activities including our weeks of action, JAG for ALL events, JAG on your street and individual feedback letters from our Community Engagement Support Officer

- We will continue to focus on early intervention for young people and families i.e. through our Parenting Support Officer, PTLP (early prevention/intervention project) and the Family Intervention Project working with families most at risk of antisocial behaviour

- We will continue to work at a neighbourhood level and let you know who your local officers are

2. Regular updates for every community on what is being done to tackle antisocial behaviour including an expectation to publicise ASBOs to the local community

- We hold regular neighbourhood forums, walkabouts and other community events so you have an opportunity to voice your concerns

- We will continue to provide regular feedback before and after photo's of activities. Through the press, letter drops, leaflets, door knocking, partnership leaflets, website, corporate publications.

- We will develop Community Safety Partnership Website to include publication of orders please follow link (needs developing)

3. Provide residents with a right of complaint to CSPs if effective action is not taken by local agencies through existing channels

- We will continue to promote the right of complaint through elected members

4. support and help for victims of ASB;

- We will continue to provide practical support through target hardening and offering personal CCTV cameras to victims most at risk of antisocial behaviour, hate crime and domestic abuse

- We will continue to engage with victim support to provide reassurance and support and also with frontline officers

- We will develop a Victims and Witness Charter so the community know how they will be supported


5. Taking reports of ASB seriously by recording and investigating all cases and committing to keeping victims informed of action taken

- We will develop minimum service standards to provide consistency across all agencies

- Community Safety Team and Housing services will continue to investigate all reports of antisocial behaviour these may be considered as low level but extremely important

6. Ensuring better links between neighbourhood policing and other local partners to deal swiftly with problems.

- Coordination will continue through the JAGs (Joint Action groups) for situational antisocial behaviour and referrals made to an investigating officer if an individual
investigation is appropriate

- We will continue to conduct joint patrols (neighbourhood wardens and Police Community Support Officers)

- All partners will continue to share relevant antisocial behaviour information and intelligence to identify location hotspots, known perpetrators and affected parties and respond purposefully and speedily to such intelligence
